Instant Steamed Corn Couscous
Overview
Now I am following Chef John. I can learn many simple and practical dishes from his recipes. In addition to videos, he also has literal recipes, which are very good. Today, I learned another dish from him, called Couscous. I checked it online and it is translated as steamed corn. It’s ready-to-eat, just soak it in boiling water and let it sit for 5 minutes. It turns out that it was introduced from North Africa. I found it in a box in the Mexican shelf of Walmart. There are large boxes and small boxes, and there are also different flavors. I chose the original flavor, and the flavor can be mixed according to the ingredients I like. When I tried making it, I made it according to the minimum amount ratio in the box. If the family is eating for more than two people, you can multiply the amount of the following recipe by the number of people.

Steps
-
Measure 1/3 cup of steamed corn crumbs and place in a large bowl;
-
Put about 1/3 cup of bacon into cubes, 1/3 cup of corn, and 1/3 cup of green beans in a pot. Turn on medium heat. When the bacon releases oil, the green beans and corn will be cooked. If too much oil comes out, decant it, add 1/4 teaspoon of pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and stir-fry evenly;
-
Put 1/2 cup of water in the pot and bring to boil;
-
As soon as the water boils, pour all the ingredients in the pot into a bowl with steamed corn flakes, cover with a lid, let it sit for 5-10 minutes, stir evenly after lifting the lid and enjoy.
