Overview
Chinese people always ask for luck during the Chinese New Year! Just like the braised meat rolls I made today, they also have a nice name - braised pork rolls! Wish everyone all the best in the new year!

Cut the pork belly into 5CM cubes and blanch them

Remove the blanched meat pieces and rinse them with water

Add an appropriate amount of water to the casserole, then add the meat cubes, cooking wine, ginger slices, green onion knots and aniseed ingredients (star anise, cinnamon, grass fruit, bay leaves)

After boiling, add light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, rock sugar, salt and sweet noodle sauce, mix well, and simmer over high heat for 40 minutes

After the stewed meat is completely cooled, use a blade to grow it into strips

Roll it up again

Place the sliced meat rolls into a bowl, skin side down, and pour some of the cooking juice on it

Put it in the pot and steam for 30 minutes

Blanch broccoli with oil and salt, drain and set aside

Pour out the juice from the steamed meat, turn it upside down and put it on a plate

Surround the broccoli

Heat the poured juice back on the stove, thicken it with wet starch and drizzle with sesame oil

Pour the sauce over the meat rolls
