Steamed Poria Cake
Overview
A steamed version of "Pan Grilled Dim Sum". Just use a lid and a steam rack to turn the pan into a steamer. In fact, it doesn’t have to be limited to pans, the same method can also be used on pots and woks. Of course, there is a ready-made steamer, just use it, there is no need to do this trick. The original version of Poria Steamed Cake uses commercially available waffle flour. It is speculated that this waffle powder should be a pre-mixed powder containing a leavening agent, because there is no leavening agent in the ingredients to explain the fluffy state of the finished product. Without waffle mix, it’s a bit difficult to make. However, there was a waffle with detailed ingredients before, and it would be a good idea to use the waffle ingredients in the Poria Steamed Cake. It's really good. The steamed cake rises very well and looks a bit like a blooming steamed bun. But it seems that the sesame seeds should be steamed before being sprinkled - with a big grin, all the sesame seeds were overturned.
