Purple sweet potato cake
Overview
My mother-in-law was at my house recently. Because she is old and her teeth are not very good, she cannot eat ordinary white-flour steamed buns and finds them difficult to bite. I always steam some multigrain steamed buns or steamed cakes for her, and she thinks they are better. Today's purple sweet potato steamed cake was specially made for her. It contains purple sweet potato and uses milk to knead the flour. It is also much more nutritious than ordinary steamed buns.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Today I used corn grits. Because they are relatively thick and hard, they need to be soaked in milk for about an hour in advance
-
Purple sweet potatoes are steamed, peeled and crushed into puree.
-
Pour the purple sweet potato into the soaked corn grits and add yeast powder
-
Mix well
-
After adding the flour, if there is not enough milk, you can adjust it appropriately
-
Stir evenly until it becomes a thick dough.
-
Spread the batter into the mold
-
Keep warm and ferment until doubled in size, then steam over high heat for 30 minutes
-
After steaming the steamed cake, let it cool and then remove it from the mold and cut it into pieces
