Pork Belly Stewed with White Braised Pork Belly
Overview
Baibulao is a kind of green and white beans. The beans are larger and the pods are loose in texture, so they are very easy to cook and tasty. Baibulao is very suitable for braised or stewed. It has a soft texture and fragrant aroma. I am very happy to be able to sample vegetables from Beijing Cuipuyuan this time. Beijing Cuipuyuan organic vegetables have only been officially launched today after six years of rigorous organic planting testing. So I am so happy to be able to taste the organic vegetables from Cuipuyuan first!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Clean the skin-on pork belly and cut into long pieces about 2 cm wide
-
Put the meat pieces directly into the cold pot without adding a drop of oil
-
Slowly stir out the fat from the meat over low heat. The meat will be tight and shrink. You can pour some cooking wine to add more water to the pot, which will help the meat to release oil better
-
Pour in the braised soy sauce, light soy sauce, sugar, garlic, fresh ginger slices, and star anise, and stir-fry until fragrant
-
When the surface of the meat is colored, pour hot water until it covers the meat. Do not turn it again. This will allow the color to better adhere to the surface of the meat. Cover the pot and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes
-
While the meat is stewing, remove the tendons from the sides of the white lentils and wash them
-
Punch it into pieces with your hands
-
When a lot of the soup in the meat pot has been consumed and the meat is tender, taste it and add an appropriate amount of salt according to taste
-
Add the white lentils into the pot, stir-fry evenly, then cover and simmer for about 15 minutes
-
The meat is rotten and the soup is thick, and the beans are also tasty
