Vegetable Juice Rainbow Donuts
Overview
Everyone who is obsessed with baking has a heart that loves their families. Baking for the health of their families is our unchanging original intention! Since it is made for the health of the family, the selection of ingredients must be more particular. The theme of this event is to use natural materials for creation, which is in line with our baking for love. In fact, I have always liked to use natural ingredients as pigments. Purple potatoes and pumpkins are my commonly used dyeing ingredients. In my spare time, baking a plate of purple and yellow bread and looking at my children's excited smiling faces is more satisfying than anything else. The works for the competition were really painstaking. After thinking about it obsessively for two days, I mustered up the courage and decided to do something more complicated. Natural materials + uniform dyeing in one. It’s really time-consuming to say! This seemingly simple donut, regardless of previous ideas, the entire operation took more than ten hours. It took a whole day... It was not difficult to make the donuts. The process of extracting the juice was really exciting and frustrating~~ Due to the instability of natural pigments, there were too many uncertain factors in the process. Every step was done carefully, for fear that the ingredients added in any link would cause chemical reactions and cause discoloration. Fortunately, I had made sufficient mental preparations in advance, and the ingredients were relatively well prepared. After five hours of eliminating N kinds of vegetable juices, I finally got seven kinds of precious vegetable juices. Fortunately, the dyeing process was relatively smooth. The final product achieved the desired effect. It was also my first time to mix frosting and vegetables. I had nothing to learn from. I tried it entirely based on a sense of feeling and brute force. The finished product looked passable from a distance, but it was still far from the master's work~. I didn't seek improvement and said to myself, forget it, don't force it, as long as I have fun~~Na~~As a human being~~The most important thing is to be happy... Finally, I would like to express my deep gratitude to my father who ran errands for me several times without any complaints. Because of N failures, I temporarily ran to the supermarket to look for vegetables and the pharmacy to look for ingredients... It was raining heavily, and it was also true love!

Steps
-
Cake ingredients are ready
-
Prepare the ingredients for colorful vegetable juice (because many vegetable juices will change color during the production process, so it is best to prepare more ingredients, squeeze more juices, and finally choose according to your needs)
-
Soften the butter at room temperature (it softens easily in this weather, just leave it at room temperature for an hour). Add sugar and salt and beat
-
Add the egg liquid in two or three times, and mix well each time
-
Mix the flour, coconut flour and baking powder and sift into the butter
-
Use a spatula to stir slightly
-
Add milk and mix until smooth
-
Put the piping bag into the cup, put the mixed batter into the piping bag, and tie the tail with a knot
-
Brush donut mold with oil
-
Pour the batter into the donut mold
-
Place a towel on the counter, lift the mold, drop it, and level the batter
-
Place in the preheated oven and bake at 170 degrees for 20 minutes. After baking, remove from the oven and let cool, unmold and set aside
-
You can start juicing while the donuts are baking. Cut various vegetables into small pieces, put them into the ACA portable juicer, add a little water, and squeeze the juice
-
Strain the squeezed juice and extract the juice. Don’t waste the residue. It’s great for making pancakes or steamed buns
-
Squeeze all the juice. Divide bayberry juice into two parts and add a little alkali to one part. Mix well. Adjust it to blue, (the alkali should be added gradually and slowly until you get the blue you need)
-
A total of seven colors were mixed. The pink color was the juice of tomatoes, but because the color was too light after adding icing sugar, it was not used in the end.
-
Put the egg whites in the frosting ingredients into a basin, first add 1/3 of the powdered sugar, stir it roughly with a spoon, until the frosting is moist, then turn on the egg beater
-
Then add the powdered sugar in two batches and beat until the icing is very thick and very shiny (the icing at this ratio is relatively hard because vegetable juice will be added in the next step. If you are using it directly, you need to reduce the amount of icing or adjust it with lemon juice)
-
Divide the frosting into 7 portions, each portion is 15 grams. Add 5 grams of vegetable juice to each portion of the frosting, and mix with a spoon to form a smooth and flowing paste
-
All the colors became a little lighter when mixed with the icing sugar. The purple sweet potato turned silver after mixing with the icing sugar. What an unexpected bonus. The final purple color was made by mixing 4 grams of milk powder and 20 grams of purple sweet potato juice. All colors are adjusted in sequence.
-
Arrange them in the order of red, orange, yellow, green, silver, blue and purple
-
Cover the donuts with the arranged icing, and apply all the colors. Press a little harder to make it stick all around
-
Place it on the grill and let the icing dry. In this step, you can sprinkle with various icings for decoration
-
Vegetable juice rainbow donuts with no additives or colorings are worth making for babies!
