Weigh all ingredients.

Put all the ingredients except butter, egg wash for surface decoration, and sesame seeds into the bread machine barrel, start the kneading program, and knead into a smooth dough.

Then add room temperature softened butter and knead until expanded.

Ferment until the base doubles in size.

After sufficient deflation, divide the dough into two halves. Cover with plastic wrap and rest for 15 minutes.

Roll out both pieces of dough into 20-25cm rounds.

Take one piece of dough and spread it with bean paste filling.

Cover it with another sheet of dough. Gently pinch the edges together.

Take a small bowl and place it in the center of the dough.

Make a clearly visible mark.

Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces using kitchen scissors.

Make another cut in the middle of each cut.

Then make two more cuts in the middle of each cut.

Place in a warm place for final fermentation. After fermentation, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds (either black or white sesame seeds are acceptable). Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and bake on the middle rack for about 18-20 minutes.
