Doctor Strange Theme - Magic Shield Pumpkin Pie
Overview
Today, I’m going to share a “Doctor Strange” themed delicacy. I made Doctor Strange's magic shield into a pumpkin pie. The method of making it is so simple that even a novice baker can make a great-looking pumpkin pie. Put it in the refrigerator overnight, and the pumpkin filling will taste as smooth and elastic as pudding. Coupled with the crispy cake base, it is really delicious!

Steps
-
Prepare the ingredients for pie crust
-
To the flour, add caster sugar, cinnamon and diced butter.
-
Use your fingers to break up the diced butter.
-
Knead until the butter and flour are combined.
-
Add eggs. Use refrigerated butter and eggs to make the pie crust firmer. There won't be too many bubbles when baking.
-
Slowly, knead into a non-sticky dough. Then, wrap it in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator to rest for an hour.
-
The refrigerated dough is really hard. Now I roll it out. I put a layer of plastic wrap on the table to prevent it from sticking.
-
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm and place it on the pie plate.
-
First spread a thin layer of butter on the pie plate. When paving, be sure to lay this right angle vertically. Because when baking, the pie crust will shrink and the depth will become shallower.
-
Then, cut off the excess, the edges are very uneven. Refrigerate it for 10 minutes to set, then trim the edges.
-
This is a pie crust that I just took out of the refrigerator, and I poked some little holes in it with a fork. This allows the heat from the bottom to escape while baking.
-
Decorate the edges, a classic pumpkin pie approach.
-
Take another piece of baking paper, knead it into a ball, and place it on top of the pie crust.
-
Spread the rice all over the top of the pie crust. This will keep the shape of the pie crust in place while baking.
-
Place in the oven at 180° and bake for 15 minutes. Then take out the rice, bake it at 160° for another 15 minutes, and that’s it.
-
Prepare pumpkin filling ingredients
-
First pour in the sugar, butter, and eggs. Then, mix well.
-
Then add the flour, cardamom powder, and cinnamon powder and mix well.
-
Pour pumpkin filling into baked pie crust. This portion is just enough. Nothing is wasted.
-
Put it in the oven at 160° and bake for 30 minutes. After the pumpkin pie is baked, let it cool to room temperature. I put it in the refrigerator for another hour and then started decorating. If the pumpkin pie is still warm, it will melt off the topping.
-
I used this English cheese frosting. You can find the recipe for this English cheese frosting in my previous recipe.
-
The pattern I made this time is the magic shield in Doctor Strange. Of course, if you want to make other patterns, you can.
-
First draw two circles
-
Draw some random words in the middle that you don’t understand, and draw small wavy lines on the outermost layer
-
Draw two more circles
-
Draw two squares in the middle
-
Draw another circle
-
Draw a five-pointed star in the circle and decorate it
-
TADA, the magic shield is ready~
