【Breakfast for students】Steamed dumplings
Overview
My family is a student, so my breakfast needs to be fast and convenient while also taking into account nutrition. This pot of steamed dumplings is stuffed with baby cabbage, vermicelli and pork. It is very convenient to wrap it up the day before and put it in the refrigerator, and then cook it directly the next morning.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Knead half and half of the fat and lean pork into fillings, soak the vermicelli and wash and drain the baby cabbage.
-
Chop the baby cabbage and vermicelli separately. Pinch the chopped baby cabbage with a little salt and squeeze out the water.
-
Put the processed baby cabbage and vermicelli into the meat filling, beat an egg in to increase the stickiness of the meat filling, and stir in one direction. For the children, I only added the simplest light soy sauce, salt, pepper, and a little sesame oil to enhance the flavor. Regarding seasonings, just follow your own taste.
-
The meat filling is ready and it’s time to make dumplings! I was lazy this time and bought dumpling wrappers~
-
Arrange the wrapped dumplings neatly and put them in the refrigerator.
-
The next morning, apply a little cooking oil on the steamer grid to prevent sticking. After the water boils, put the dumplings into the steamer.
-
After 10 minutes on high heat, turn to medium heat for 5 minutes, turn off the heat and simmer for 3 minutes.
-
Pair it with your child's favorite dipping sauce, and it's a simple breakfast!
