Japanese style cold abalone [Yunyun Kitchen]
Overview
Abalone is very nutritious, but there is no way to make it taste delicious. In the Japanese cooking method, the abalone is soaked in the cooked juice overnight. The taste of the juice enhances the umami flavor of the abalone while retaining the chewy texture. This is my favorite way to cook abalone.

Wash the abalone and remove the sand from the shell.

Put water, light soy sauce, sugar, sake, and ginger slices into the pot, add abalone, and cook over high heat for about 20 minutes. Soak for about 8 hours.

When eating, just take it out and put it on the plate.
