Bean Paste, Jujube Paste and Shou Tao
Overview
Shoudao, the most traditional birthday cake. In my impression, most of them have fillings, and most of them are bean paste fillings. In essence, it is just a peach-shaped bean paste bun. But because it is given the shape of a peach, it has a different meaning. The so-called bean paste and jujube paste is nothing more than a muddy filling made from red beans and jujubes. Why do Shoudao use sweet filling? God knows. Perhaps, birthdays should be happy and sweet, right? Nine. Nine is an interesting number in traditional Chinese culture. Because of its homophonic pronunciation, it has been given a long-lasting meaning.
