Chop onions, ginger and garlic and set aside

Blanch the cut short ribs in a pot to remove the fishy smell, remove and drain

Put oil in the pot, when the oil is hot, put the blanched ribs in and stir-fry, add onion, ginger and garlic, add sugar and soy sauce according to your own taste, stir-fry for a while and start adding water to cover the ribs

After the water boils, turn to medium heat and simmer for more than ten minutes. Add salt. Stir-fry until each rib is coated with juice. Then use high heat to reduce the juice. Add a little less MSG to enhance the freshness
