My younger brother came back from visiting relatives, and the whole family got into action. He loves to eat beef with soy sauce, so my father bought beef and planned to make soy beef. Every year, my mother makes it according to the old method, and it is my specialty. My sister said that she learned a new method, and she followed this method this time. It’s easy to make and tastes great. I recommend it to everyone. After I finished cooking it at my mother's house, I couldn't wait to taste a small piece. It had a rich sauce flavor.

Cut the beef into 10 cm long and 5 cm wide pieces. Use half a bottle of light soy sauce, 4 teaspoons of dark soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of cooking wine, scallions, ginger, 3 star anise and 4 bay leaves from the stew ingredients. Soak them together for 8 hours to let the beef take in the flavor.
