-
Warm the milk to 37 degrees, which is about the same temperature as your skin, dissolve the baking powder, add the flour and stir it into a snowflake shape with chopsticks, then knead evenly until the dough is smooth. Cover with plastic wrap and ferment at room temperature.
-
Ferment until doubled in size. Poke the hollow with your finger and pull out the flour to form a honeycomb shape. Fermentation is complete.
-
Sprinkle an appropriate amount of dry flour and knead vigorously until there are no obvious pores in the flour.
-
Separate a small piece and knead in red pigment or red yeast powder.
-
Roll the red dough into 0.3 cm thin slices and use a mold to press out circles and heart shapes.
-
Use chopsticks to make two small holes in the circle to form the pig's nose. Attach it to the bun filled with custard filling. Two heart shapes are attached to the ears. Let sit for 25 minutes.
-
Put water in the steamer, bring to a boil, put the buns on and steam for 15 minutes. Simmer for five minutes before opening the lid.
-
The buns are soft and sweet. Freeze it if you can't finish it, then steam it when you want to eat it. I made 18 of this recipe.
