Dried Bamboo Shoots and Shiitake Mushrooms Siomai
Overview
This was my first time making siomai. I was afraid it would not be successful, so I bought ready-made dumpling wrappers. The little guy ate two, and he pulled me to the kitchen, saying he wanted to get it... It can be said that he loves to eat!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Prepare all the ingredients (dried bamboo shoots should be soaked about half a day in advance, mushrooms should be soaked about an hour in advance, and glutinous rice should be soaked for a few minutes).
-
Wash the glutinous rice and cook it in a pot. The amount of water is about one-third less than cooking ordinary rice. Otherwise, it will be too sticky and lose its taste when cooked.
-
Blanch the bamboo shoots.
-
Chop the lean meat into minced meat, and finally add the green onion and chop together; chop the mushrooms and dried bamboo shoots and set aside.
-
Heat oil in a cold pan and stir-fry the minced meat until fragrant.
-
Add the chopped mushrooms and dried bamboo shoots and stir-fry for a few times.
-
Add the cooked glutinous rice, appropriate amount of salt, soy sauce and chopped green onion and mix well.
-
Use a rolling pin to roll the dumpling skin into a lotus leaf shape.
-
Take an appropriate amount of rice filling and slowly close it with your hands.
-
After wrapping, steam it in a pot.
-
Steam for about 15 minutes.
