Chestnut and Yam Stewed Chicken Wings
Overview
Autumn is the season when chestnuts are on the market. People often use them to stew chicken. Today I bought chicken wings and stewed them with chestnuts and yams. The taste is also great.

Cut the yam into hob pieces and set aside.

Peel chestnuts and set aside.

Cut the chicken wings in half, wash and drain.

Pour cold water into the pot, bring to a boil, and rinse away the foam with water.

Pour vegetable oil into the pot. When the oil is hot, add chopped green onion, ginger slices and minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.

Put into the wings, add cooking wine, light soy sauce, a little dark soy sauce, five-spice powder, and salt.

Add the chestnuts, add hot water, bring to a boil and simmer for ten minutes.

Add the yam cubes and simmer for another fifteen minutes before serving.

After serving, sprinkle with green onion.
