Carnation cake roll
Overview
On Mother's Day, I received my parents' dinner at home, and I also learned how to make this carnation cake roll from Gourmet World. Although it is not exquisite and beautiful, it has my full love in it. Happy Mother's Day! Happy every day!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Prepare materials, separate egg whites and egg yolks (take 3 egg whites)
-
Take 3 egg yolks
-
Add 20g of fine sugar to the egg yolks and beat with a whisk until foamy
-
Then add milk, salad oil, and stir evenly
-
Add low-gluten flour
-
Use a hand mixer to mix into a smooth batter
-
Add 30 grams of fine sugar to the egg whites in two batches and beat until wet peaks
-
Lift the egg beater until it becomes sharp
-
Take one-third of the beaten egg whites, add it to the egg yolk batter and mix evenly, then pour the mixed batter back into the remaining two-thirds of the egg whites, and continue to mix until it becomes a fine paste
-
Dissolve the red pigment with a small amount of water
-
Dissolve matcha powder with a little water
-
Take two small portions of batter, add matcha and red coloring respectively, mix well, put them into a piping bag, and cut a small slit at the sharp corner
-
On a baking sheet lined with greaseproof paper, trace the patterns of carnation flowers and leaves
-
Place in a preheated 150 degree oven and take it out for 1.5 minutes
-
Pour the original batter into the patterned baking pan, smooth the surface of the cake batter with a scraper, pick up the baking pan, tap the bottom with your other hand to make big bubbles, put it in a preheated 120-degree oven, turn the heat up and down, and bake for about 15 minutes
-
Immediately turn the baked cake slices upside down on the drying rack to prevent them from shrinking. Tear off the parchment paper while it's hot and then cover it back up. This can prevent cracks when rolling
-
Roll up slowly, wrap in oil paper and refrigerate for half an hour to set
-
Put the strawberry jam into a piping bag and cut a small opening, then write the words Mother's Day on the finished cake roll
