Pork braised bamboo shoots
Overview
The bamboo shoots were grown in the backyard of my mother-in-law's house. When the tender bamboo shoots first appeared, my mother-in-law would wash them, pickle them, and dry them in the sun. Now that she gets homesick, she stews them to satisfy her cravings.
