Stir-fried Lima Beans with Beef Cubes
Overview
I bought a box of steak and defrosted one piece. It felt very thin and was not enough for a meal, so I cut it into cubes and stir-fried it with lima beans. I happened to have apples at home, so I thought of adding apples to the dish.

Cut the beef into cubes and put it in a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, 1 tablespoon of cooking wine, and 1/4 teaspoon of soda powder. Marinate it with your hands until it becomes sticky. If it is too sticky to spread, add 1 tablespoon of water. After marinating, add 1 teaspoon of cornstarch and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Continue to mix well and let it sit for 30 minutes or more;

Peel, core and dice the apple;

Boil water in a pot. After the water boils, add lima beans, add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water, cook the beans, drain and drain;

Open the pot again, stir-fry the beef cubes over medium heat, set aside, leaving oil at the bottom of the pot;

Over medium-high heat, pour in the lima beans and apples, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, and stir a few times;

Pour in the beef cubes, stir for a few times, add starch water blended with 2 teaspoons of cornstarch and 1/4 cup of water, sprinkle with about 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, raise the heat and stir-fry evenly.
