Cut celery into sections.

Slice onions.

Cut tomatoes into cubes.

Cut beef brisket into cubes.

Blanch the beef brisket in cold water until it oozes foam.

Add vegetable oil to the pot, add beef brisket and stir-fry for 3 minutes.

Add onions.

Add onion, ginger slices, star anise and dried chili and stir-fry until fragrant.

Add cooking wine to remove the fishy smell, add tomatoes and stir-fry evenly.

Pour in water to cover the beef and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and simmer for 40 minutes.

Add the celery, pick out the ginger slices, star anise and dried chilies.

Add tomato red stew seasoning and cook until melted and thickened.
