Grilled green beans with pork belly (Northeastern style)
Overview
Yu Mo is a northeastern girl who lives in the south. Due to work reasons, she rarely visits her hometown. Every holiday season inevitably evokes a strong sense of homesickness and the taste of her hometown... Let’s get back to the subject, today I recommend to you a dish from my home, "Roasted Green Beans with Pork Belly and Kidney Beans". This dish can completely dispel Yu Mo’s homesickness! Hope you all like it!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Wash the kidney beans, remove the ends and corners and break them into sections for later use; wash, peel and cut the potatoes into cubes for later use.
-
Prepare bean paste, garlic cloves, and a pot of boiling water.
-
Wash and slice the pork belly.
-
Put the sliced pork belly into a clean bowl, put an appropriate amount of light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and oyster sauce in the bowl and marinate for 5 to 10 minutes.
-
Marinated pork belly.
-
Put less oil in the pot.
-
Add the kidney beans (kidney beans) and stir-fry over medium heat until the kidney beans are bright and slightly browned on the surface, then set aside (PS: The purpose of this is to stir out the sugar inside the kidney beans, which can improve the taste of the kidney beans to a certain extent, but be careful not to burn the pot!!!).
-
Add oil to the pot, put the cut potato pieces into the pot and stir-fry until the four sides are translucent, then remove from the pot and set aside (potatoes are easy to dry out when stir-frying, so you need to pay more attention to the frequency of stir-frying).
-
After everything is ready, it’s officially time to start! Heat up the oil! ! ! ! ! Pour the prepared ginger slices into the pot and stir-fry.
-
After the ginger slices are fragrant, add the marinated pork belly and stir-fry.
-
When the pork belly is cooked, add rock sugar (if there is no rock sugar, you can use white sugar instead), stir-fry over medium heat until the rock sugar melts (the rock sugar is added to color and freshen the meat, and enhance the taste of the meat).
-
After the rock sugar melts, add a tablespoon of bean paste and stir-fry evenly with the meat.
-
Add a small amount of light soy sauce and dark soy sauce to enhance the flavor and color.
-
Add the prepared green beans and potato cubes, and stir-fry evenly with the green beans.
-
After stir-frying evenly, pour in the prepared boiling water until the amount of water is even with the ingredients, cover and bring to a boil over high heat. After the water boils, add garlic cloves to enhance the flavor, turn to medium to low heat, cover and simmer.
-
When the soup is slightly reduced, add salt to the pot (because there is a lot of soy sauce and bean paste, it is not advisable to add too much salt), cover and continue cooking until the soup dries up and remove from the pot.
-
Take it out of the pot and put it on the plate. This northeastern-style pork belly and green beans is ready (Baijia Baiwei, this is how my family makes it). Paired with a bowl of rice, the calories will definitely be high. . . No matter what, I just like the taste!
