Hakka Perilla Duck
Overview
My father works away from home for many years. Whenever he comes back, I will ask him to make our favorite perilla duck. Since my father doesn’t come back often, I learn to make it myself. Every time I eat it, I will think of my favorite father... However, I also really like the taste of perilla, and I believe many friends will also like it😘

Ingredients
Steps
-
Water duck, wash and set aside
-
Wash the perilla and cut into small pieces and set aside
-
Put water in the pot (it is best to cover the duck, so it will cook more easily). After the water boils, put the duck down, cover the pot and cook slowly
-
Remember to turn the duck when cooking for about ten minutes, so that it will cook more easily
-
Cook for about forty minutes to see if the duck is done. Poke the duck leg with chopsticks. If no red blood comes out, it is done. Put it in the pot (if there is still blood, continue cooking)
-
Clean the pot, heat the pot with oil and fry the ginger and perilla. Then put the duck and slowly rub it back and forth in the pot. After touching it for a few minutes, add soy sauce. Add a spoonful of white sugar and touch it for a while until it has some color.
-
Look, once you've touched the pot, you can start cutting it when it's not so hot
-
The finished product, my knife skills really couldn’t stand it, so I could only cut it like this, but it tastes really good
