Crab Fillet Steamed Tofu
Overview
Today I’m sharing with you how to eat tofu and crab sticks. I have been eating tofu for decades, and crab sticks are also indispensable when making hot pot. But this is the first time I have tried this method of pairing tofu and crab sticks. It is so fresh and tender! I really like it! My daughter and I couldn’t even finish such a large plate~~

Steps
-
Ingredients: 1 box of lactone tofu, an appropriate amount of soaked scallops, 4 crab sticks, seasonings: 2 teaspoons of light soy sauce, 1/3 teaspoon of sugar, 1 chili pepper, 2 dried chili peppers, 1 chive, and 2 grams of salt.
-
Peel off the plastic wrap on the tofu and place it on a plate.
-
Cut the removed tofu into small cubes, remove the water and put it into a deeper plate (lactone tofu has a relatively high water content, so be sure to remove the water in advance, otherwise more soup will come out during steaming and the taste will be diluted).
-
Take a bowl, add 2 teaspoons of light soy sauce, 2 grams of salt, 1/3 teaspoon of sugar, and a little chicken essence and mix well to form a sauce.
-
Cut the crab sticks into small pieces, tear the soaked scallops into shreds, cut the peppers into small rings, chop the green onions, and cut the dried peppers into pepper rings and set aside (if you don’t have scallops, you can use small shrimp skins or shrimps, or dried shrimps).
-
Sprinkle crab sticks, whole scallops, and chili rings evenly on the tofu. Pour over the prepared sauce.
-
Put it into the boiling steamer, place another plate on top, cover it, steam over medium heat for 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and take it out. (The purpose of placing a plate is to prevent the steam from the pot cover from dripping into the bowl and diluting the umami flavor).
-
Take out the steamed crab fillet tofu and sprinkle with chopped green onions and pepper rings. It's fresh, tender and slightly spicy.
