Braised wild rice with pork ribs
Overview
The ribs used this time were bought on Buddha's birthday. The ribs had already been oiled that day. I originally wanted to use them to make braised ribs. Because there were not many customers that day, the ribs were not cooked. They were frozen in the refrigerator that night. Yesterday I turned it out and simmered it in an electric stew pot. There happened to be a lot of wild rice in the refrigerator, so I added some to it and simmered it together. The pork ribs stewed in this way are so delicious that even a person like me who doesn’t like meat couldn’t help but eat several pieces. Pork ribs can provide high-quality protein and fat necessary for human physiological activities, especially rich in calcium, which can maintain bone health. It has the effects of nourishing yin and moisturizing, replenishing essence and blood. Wild rice contains crude protein, fat, vitamin C, reducing sugar and 17 kinds of amino acids, among which threonine, methionine, lysine, phenylalanine, etc. are necessary for the human body and have high nutritional value and dietary health care.
