For a fresh golden pomfret, usually the stall owner will kill it for you, and you can just clean the internal organs yourself when you come back.

After cleaning, make a few cuts on the front and back of the fish body, put the fish on a plate, add a few drops of rice wine, and evenly apply an appropriate amount of salt on the front and back of the fish body, and marinate for about 5 minutes.

Boil an appropriate amount of water in a pot. After the water boils, put the fish in the pot and steam it over high heat for about 13 minutes.
