Wash the Spanish mackerel, cut it into sections, and prepare the onions, ginger and garlic

Heat oil in a pot, add onion, ginger and garlic and sauté

Add sugar, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, thirteen spices, vinegar, and mackerel, fry over low heat for a while, and coat both sides with sauce.

Put water just level with the fish into the pot, bring to a boil over high heat, turn to low heat, add salt halfway through, and turn the fish over.

When the sauce is almost gone, add the leeks and MSG, stir-fry a few times, be sure to stir gently!

It’s ready. Plate it and eat!
