Steamed bream with sausage
Overview
I bought a bream today and I have always wanted to learn how to make peacock fish. I will try it at home during the holidays. I happen to have Hunan sausages at home, so I thought of steaming them together!

Remove the scales from the purchased bream and cut off the head and tail

Then remove the internal organs from the fish belly and cut it evenly with a knife. Do not cut off the fish belly! Clean it again

Add cooking wine to the fish

Spread salt evenly and marinate for 15 minutes

Cut potatoes into thin slices

The sausage is also cut into thin slices

Shred onion and ginger and place on the bottom of the plate

Place the bream on the green onion and ginger and arrange it

Top each piece of fish with potato slices

Add the sausage slices

After adding water to the pot and boiling, put the fish into the steamer and steam for 7-8 minutes. When the time is up, turn off the heat and simmer for another 2 minutes

Make the sauce: add light soy sauce, sugar, and pepper to a small bowl, mix thoroughly and set aside

Take out the steamed fish and pour out the steamed soup

Then pour the prepared sauce on each piece of fish, and add some chili pepper and chopped green onion

Heat some oil and pour the hot oil on the chopped green onions and chili peppers
