Steamed Dumplings with Mushroom and Meat Filling

The whole family likes to eat steamed dumplings, so they make them at least once a week. This time I made steamed dumplings stuffed with mushrooms and meat. The fillings are delicious and chewy. Delicious home-cooked delicacies.

Wash the mushrooms, blanch them in water, cool and dry them.

Use a food processor to chop the mushrooms.

Chop the meat into puree, add chopped onions, salt, oyster sauce, vegetable oil, and five-spice powder.

The noodles should be kneaded well before filling. The noodles for steamed dumplings should be softer than normal dumpling noodles. The best ratio for dumpling noodles is 500g noodles plus 250g water. For steamed dumplings noodles, you can add 30g more water.

Make small batches and roll out cakes.

Wrap into large dumplings.

When everything is done, boil water in a steamer, add the wrapped dumplings, and steam for 15 minutes.
