Creative Pasta——Rose Bun
Overview
I have always liked to eat and make pasta. I used to make rose rolls of different colors using various ingredients. Today I am going to make an innovation and add meat fillings to experience the different tastes! This time I used noodles mixed with purple amaranth juice. I imagined that the rose buns should be pink, but I didn’t expect that the color would become lighter after steaming. Haha, it’s not bad. The taste is still great. I’ll try it with other vegetables next time.

Steps
-
Remove the roots of purple amaranth and clean them.
-
Add appropriate amount of water to the pot and bring to a boil, add amaranth and cook for one minute.
-
Boiled amaranth juice is very bright.
-
Add about 300ml of amaranth juice to 500 grams of flour, and mix into a pink dough. (The amount of water depends on the absorption of your own flour.) Cover with plastic wrap to rest.
-
Prepare the filling: Put the meat filling in a glass bowl, add an appropriate amount of water and stir vigorously in one direction to make the meat filling more tender.
-
Chop onion and ginger into fine pieces.
-
Chop the onions into fine pieces.
-
Put the minced onions, ginger, and onions into a bowl, add fresh soy sauce, oyster sauce, five-spice powder, sesame oil, salad oil, and salt and stir evenly.
-
The meat filling is mixed.
-
Take out the dough, roll it into a long strip, and cut it into small pieces of about 8 grams with a knife.
-
Flatten the dough and roll it into a thin dough.
-
Take five pieces of dough and place them neatly one by one, and put the filling in the middle.
-
Fold the dough in half from bottom to top without pinching the edges, then slowly roll it up from one end, and finally glue the dough firmly with water.
-
The rolled rose shape is beautiful, isn't it?
-
Apply oil on the curtain, arrange the rose buns, put them into a pot of boiling water and steam them for twelve minutes.
-
The steamed rose buns turned bright pink when heated, but I still like them very much. They taste great!
