【Semi-Sweet and Salty Pork Steamed Dumplings】--- Semi-sweet and semi-salty local taste
Overview
Semi-sweet and salty, as the name suggests, means half sweet and half salty. This way of eating is usually found in fried dumplings and steamed dumplings. Famous fried dumpling shops can be seen everywhere in the streets and alleys of Shishi. Each fried dumpling shop will have two flavors to choose from, one is ordinary salty, and the other is half sweet and half salty. Half of the half-sweet and half-salty fillings are filled with meat, and the other half are filled with peanut sugar, and some are filled with seaweed. They taste particularly delicious. For steamed dumplings, it is usually not wrapped in fillings. Instead, after the dumplings are steamed, sugar and peanut powder are sprinkled on the dumplings while they are still hot, so that they stick to the dumplings. This time I added some freshly roasted seaweed to the sugar-coated peanuts, and my family loved it.
