Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice
Overview
Braised pork rice is a very popular fast food in Taiwan. I heard from Taiwanese classmates that if you have never eaten braised pork rice in Taiwan, you are not considered an authentic Taiwanese. It can be seen that the popularity of braised pork rice is evident in Taiwan.

Ingredients required, the eggs were still being cooked, so I didn’t take any photos.

Cut the pork into cubes.

Wash and chop the onions, mushrooms and okra in the accessories.

Add a little oil to the pan and stir-fry the pork belly until it turns slightly brown.

Leave the oil in the pot and sauté the onions until fragrant. Cinnamon and star anise fruits are also added.

Add the diced pork that was stir-fried before and stir-fry evenly.

Add oyster sauce and cooking wine.

Continue to add appropriate amounts of light soy sauce and dark soy sauce.

Add appropriate amount of salt and sugar and mix well.

Then add water. The amount of water should cover the surface of the meat, cover the pot and bring to a boil over high heat.

Finally, add the mushrooms and hard-boiled eggs, cover tightly and cook over medium heat until the soup thickens, then turn off the heat.

The braised pork is ready. Next, blanch the okra.

Take a small pot, add water to boil, add appropriate amount of oil, and blanch the okra until cooked.

Take a plate, put a bowl of white rice on it, top with braised meat, eggs and okra to finish.
