Steamed glutinous rice steak
Overview
My son loves the fragrant glutinous rice the most. Adding the pork ribs infuses the meat flavor into the glutinous rice and makes it more fragrant. The pork ribs are crispy and delicious. I can’t resist the temptation!

Prepare materials. Soak the glutinous rice for two hours in advance and then drain and set aside.

Boil the water, add the ribs and blanch them to remove the blood, then remove and drain.

Heat the oil in a pan, add onions, ginger, garlic, dried chilies, Sichuan peppercorns, and star anise and saute until fragrant

Add the pork ribs and fry until both sides are slightly brown

Add cooking wine, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sugar, chicken essence, pepper and a little water and bring to a boil then turn off the heat

Put the ribs in the soaked glutinous rice, drain the soup and add the spices

Stir well and put the bowl into the pot and put some green onions on top

Steam over high heat over water for about 45 minutes. You may need to add hot water in the middle

Open the aroma and smell it

Spread lettuce leaves on the bottom of the plate, place the glutinous rice on top, and sprinkle with chives.
