Beer Braised Pork Trotters
Overview
I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to try out the Tianji TONZE microcomputer water-proof electric saucepan. The Tianji water-sealed electric stew pot uses water as a medium to form a natural protective barrier, completely isolating the internal and external environment, ensuring that nutrients are not oxidized and polluted, the soup has original flavor, and the nutrients are fully released. The first trial is a product-side operation. Today I used it to make beer-braised pig's trotters, which is satisfying and nourishing. The prepared pig's trotters are soft and tasty, fragrant but not greasy, making people unable to stop eating.

Wash the pig's trotters and chop into pieces.

Pour cold water into the pot and blanch to remove blood foam and impurities. (In order to better remove the fishy smell, wait for the water in the pot to boil and then blanch for 2 minutes.)

Heat the wok, add a little base oil, add Pixian bean paste and a little tomato sauce and stir-fry over low heat until fragrant, and stir-fry until red oil comes out.

Add the pig's trotters and stir-fry until the water vapor comes out.

Add a can and a half of beer, not too much to cover the pig's trotters.

Add fresh soy sauce, chicken essence, sugar, and salt (add as appropriate) to adjust the taste.

After boiling, pour into the large inner pot of the Tianji electric stew pot.

Add green onion segments, ginger slices, garlic cloves, star anise, cinnamon bark, bay leaves, Sichuan peppercorns (two or three pieces), strawberries, dried chili peppers, and nutmeg.

Add water to the electric stew pot to the level before placing the pot.

Place the stainless steel backing plate into the pot first, then the inner pot. Pour clean water into the water tank at the edge of the inner pot, and gently turn the lid of the inner pot to distribute the water evenly in the tank.

Close the lid and press the function button to select slow cook. The default time is 3 hours.
