Spicy shredded oil is a soy product that can be used as a cold dish or as a hot dish. There are simple tofu skins to make spicy shredded oil. It is very fragrant and you can make it yourself.

  1. Prepare raw materials

  2. Roll up the tofu skin and cut into shreds.

  4. Heat the oil in the pot to 60% to 70% heat and add the shredded tofu.

  5. Fry without turning until it changes colour. (If you like the shredded tofu to be firmer, fry it more)

  6. Take out the fried tofu shreds.

  7. Leave the base oil in the pot, add Sichuan peppercorns, aniseed, dried chili peppers, and fennel seeds and stir-fry until fragrant. Pour into a bowl of water.

  8. Return the fried shredded tofu to the pot, add soy sauce and sugar (you can add condiments according to your own taste), simmer for 10 minutes, and soak the shredded tofu in some remaining soup to make it more delicious.
